JOHOR BAHRU, 26 February – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and International Academy of Business (IAB) of Kazakhtan agreed to establish an academic partnership for strategic engagements of both institutions.

Among the potential areas of collaboration include student and staff exchange, and information sharing and publications.

Both sides are also looking to work together in conducting research activities and collaborate in teaching programmes, student supervision, joint seminars and conferences.

To further enhance the good working relationship UTM and IAB signed the Letter of Cooperation (LOC).

The Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic and International, Prof. Dr. Rose Alinda Alias represented UTM and IAB by its Principal Dr. Takir Balykbayev.

Dean of UTM International Business School (IBS), Prof. Dr Mohd. Hassan Mohd. Osman and Dean of Faculty of Management, Professor Dr Zainab Khalifah were present at the signing ceremony which took place at the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic and International meeting room.

The IAB, developed from the Almaty School of Management (ASM), was founded in 1988. IAB is a dynamic business school, with a good reputation among businessmen of Kazakhstan, and the international society for managerial education development.
