Three prominent figures from diverse areas of expertise have been invited as guests of honour for the Merdeka Award  Roundtable Discussion. They include former Merdeka Award 2009 recipient and Vice Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Professor Dato’ Ir Dr Zaini Ujang, owner of English Premier League Queen Park Rangers (QPR) football club and Group Chief Executive Officer / Director of AirAsia Tan Sri Tony Fernandez, and Malaysia Innovation Agency Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr. Kamal Jit Singh.

The Roundtable Discussion will be held at Carcosa Seri Negara, Kuala Lumpur on 24 November 2011 at 10.30 am. The Chair for the session will be Norina Yahya.

The discussion organised by the Merdeka Award Secretariat will be recorded and screened by Astro Awani at a time which will be decided later.
