On 13th July 2021, DHL Applied Analytics Hub was launched in a virtual event officiated by Vice Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Professor Datuk Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Fauzi bin Ismail, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Over a year later, on 25th November 2022, delegation from Faculty of Computing, UTM gets the opportunity to visit DHL Applied Analytics Hub which has been fully setup as a satellite office for DHL Applied Analytics, Customer Solutions and Innovation, Asia Pacific Innovation Center, Singapore. Present during the visit in supporting MDASH HACK Robotic challenge is the Head of DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center, Mr. Lau Tian Chen, and the Head of DHL Global Center of Excellence, Mr. Ray Leung, Ms. Ivy Tay and Mr. Caleb Soh. Delegation from Faculty of Computing is represented by Dean, Prof. Ts. Dr. Wan Mohd Nasir Wan Kadir, Director of Department of Applied Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Sharin Hazlin Huspi, and Coordinator External Engagement, Industry and Global, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Tariq. Exco Persatuan Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Komputer were also present during the event.

Currently there are three students from Master of Science (Data Science) who are the 6th cohort on attachment with DHL Applied Analytics and DHL Global Center of Excellence. Alvin Alexander, Cassandra Tan Hui Ming and Tan Boon Chu has been given the opportunity to join DHL Sustainability Weeks on 17th November 2022 to assist DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center team in Singapore as facilitators for Food System 4.0 Expert Roundtable discussion.

The students gain valuable experience by communicating with CEOs, Vice Presidents and founders of various organizations both local and international. Dr. Nor Erne Nazira has been invited as participant to throw ideas on how to sustain food supply with less resources to feed 10 billion people by 2050 in the Food System 4.o Roundtable discussion.

December 2022 marks the 3rd year of collaboration between DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center and Faculty of Computing, UTM. From the first initial meeting with delegation from DHL in December 2019, the relationship between both parties has flourished significantly and it is hopeful that the collaboration can be extended in the future with more impactful activities for mutual benefits of both parties.
